Duties * Implements Life Cycle System Safety Program for all Programs Supported. * Provides technical life cycle safety engineering expertise to Project Managers, Program Executive Offices (PM/PEO) and other military/non-military users regarding the design, development and modification and operation of C4ISR equipment. * Provides safety engineering advice on problems concerned with research, development, production, and deployment of highly complex communications-electronics (C-E) systems. * Reviews contractor specifications, proposals, design, testing and safety-of-use criteria and ensures that required data submittals and level of effort are appropriate for each phase of development. * Attends meetings with major command and higher headquarters and uses authority to negotiate system safety issues to achieve optimum program decisions within constraints. * Conducts Field Site Evaluations of Modifications to Existing Equipment. * Reviews existing equipment which are compatible for...
