Responsibilities
• Carry a 2.17.4 legal appointment as per the MHSA (Safety Manager)
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Create and maintain an effective safety management system that identifies and minimizes potential hazards and risks in the mining operations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify non-compliance and recommend corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Train and educate employees on safety protocols, equipment operation, emergency response, and hazard recognition.
• Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and develop preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
• Collaborate with operational teams to develop action plans for resolving safety-related issues and achieving safety goals.
