RPO Recruitment is currently working with a leading company in the mining industry, based in Gauteng, that is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Safety Officer. As the Chief Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of safety standards across all operations.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
• Oversee safety inspections and audits
• Provide guidance and support to site safety teams
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
• Investigate and analyze safety incidents and implement corrective actions
• Conduct regular safety training and awareness programs
• Monitor and report on safety performance and trends

Requirements
• National Diploma in Safety Management
• COMSOC 1 & 2
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role within the mining industry
• Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and legislation
