The Detail

Leaders in the frozen food import and wholesale industry have seek to employ a Junior Buyer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure that the supply chain needs, with a specific focus on Procurement, are met in a timely and cost-effective manner by: reviewing costs, fostering relationships with vendors and suppliers and ensuring that all administrative work is updated and accurate.

Responsible for sourcing product whilst ensuring cost-effectiveness

Supplier- and price negotiations

Current affairs knowledge and an understanding of both local and regional supply and demand

Planning deliveries to the Cold Store

Administrative related duties for local sales orders and confirmations

Ensuring that ETA ‘s of all deliveries are timeous

Ensure that stock is allocated to the correct senior buyers/procurement staff

Daily communication with suppliers

Compiling and producing a detailed administrative report in terms of local supply

Calling all local suppliers
