Introduction

Buyer / Stores Supervisor required for a business in Pietermaritzburg.

Requirements:

Knowledge of electrical, construction and refrigeration industry.

Good computer skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Able to handle pressure

Duties include:
• Attend to internal requisitions, stock and daily buy-outs
• Sourcing suppliers
• Sourcing spares, pricing, delivery, quality
• Liaising with suppliers
• Create purchase orders, arrange spares deliveries, logistics
• Create stock codes onto the Bluebox software
• Manage van stock, daily, weekly, monthly and annually. Cyclically stock counts. Stock levels. Vehicle stock. Standby stock.
• Manage trends on stores issues and buy outs
• Manage supplier guarantees and warranties
• Process credit returns / credit queries.
• Process transfers of stock
• Preparing quotation requests / pricing
• Monitor Storeman
• Relief Storeman duties

Salary:

Market related.
