Your Opportunity:

The Rural Police and Crisis Team (RPACT) is a new partnership between Alberta Health Services (AHS) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). A team including a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and an RCMP member will support clients in the rural areas surrounding Athabasca and surrounding communities involving individuals experiencing a psychiatric mental health, addictions, or psycho-social crisis when there is a danger to themselves and / or public. Required services may be provided in a variety of community settings. The RPN provides risk and mental health assessments including mental status exams, provides recommendations for next steps, arranges urgent psychiatry assessments, medication administration and makes referrals to other AHS and community service providers as needed.
