Job Profile
• Conceptualize and design development with the use of graphic software such as Illustrator and Photoshop
• Keep up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors and shapes
• Fashion trends and colour forecasting
• Plan and develop ranges
• Work with others in the design team, such as buyers and forecasters, to develop products to meet expectations
• Liaise closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points
• Understand design from a technical perspective, producing patterns, tailor and technical specifications for designs
• Coordinate with Merchandizing and buying teams for sourcing, selecting and buying fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments
• Adapt existing designs for mass production

Candidate Profile
• Degree or diploma in fashion designing
• More than 2 years’ experience in similar capacity as a designer for Kids wear
