The McDermott Library at the United States Air Force Academy seeks candidates for the position of Assistant Director of Public Services, who will lead the overall strategic management of public services in support of the Academy‘s cadets and faculty. The Air Force Academy is an undergraduate institution of 4,000 cadets, dedicated to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become officers and leaders of character in US Air Force and US Space Force. Reporting to the Associate Dean/Director of the McDermott Library, the Assistant Director will supervise staff who work in the research services, circulation, and interlibrary loan. This position will play a major role, as part of the senior leadership team, in designing, implementing, and assessing services as well as space utilization based on the library’s strategic plan.
