Bistro at a Hotel in Plettenberg Bay is looking for a Sous Chef. Responsible for all kitchen duties as well as assisting with planning and directing food preparation. The successful candidate will embrace a commitment to providing service excellence and ensuring that the guest experience is prioritised above all else. Efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments will result in success within this role

Responsibilities:
• Work with the Executive Chef to produce diversified menus
• Assist the Executive Chef with new menu creations and costings.
• Establish the working schedule and organize the work in the kitchen
• Produce high quality dishes
• Train kitchen staff to reach the high standards of the operation.
• Maintain order and discipline in the kitchen
• Ensure that all operational hygiene levels are maintained and checked daily.
