The Faculty of Humanities at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) hereby announces three 3-year Carlsberg PhD Fellowships starting September 1, 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. The fellowships are available in all subject areas covered by the Department of Culture and Language or the Department of Design, Media and Educational Science. The scholarships are fully funded.

The PhD fellows will be affiliated with the relevant department at either SDU Odense, SDU Kolding or SDU Sønderborg, normally depending on supervisor allocation. The scholarship holder is expected to be physically present at SDU.

The PhD programme
The PhD programme is a research education at the highest international level that qualifies the PhD student to independently undertake research, dissemination, and teaching tasks.
