Eskort, South Africa’s leading pork manufacturer with a processing plant in Heidelberg Gauteng and in Estcourt KZN. We are currently looking for a Buyer for Consumable Stores department in Estcourt KZN. The position will be reporting to General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Grade 12 with Mathematics preferably

EXPERIENCE

2-3 years experience within a production environment

Previous experience in buying will be an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Attention to details

SKILLS REQUIRED

Good communication and negotiation and buying skills.

MAIN DUTIES

Buying and controlling of stock for minimum and maximum stock levels.

Ensure to take lead time into consideration when ordering both local and imported raw materials.

To manage subordinates on a daily basis to ensure all tasks are fulfilled according to the procedures.

To analyze the requisitions from the supervisor to clarify that the orders are in fact needing to be placed.
