Requirements

We are calling upon all Engineer Managers, or managers to be to submit their CVs if they meet the following requirements:
• Tertiary qualification (B-Tech or BSc) in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or the equivalent
• Mechanical / Electrical Engineer’s Certificate of Competency in terms of regulation 2.13.1 of the MHSA
• A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar position at a mine, preferably opencast with experience in

associated mining equipment
• Knowledge and experience of the NOSA Integrated Five Star System as it applies to open cast mines, and the MHSA requirements relating to health, safety, and environment
• Sound knowledge of predictive and planned maintenance systems;
• A sound knowledge of crushing, screening, and conveying equipment, with knowledge of fine powder milling

and packaging
