Duties & Responsibilities

Engaged in lifting, moving, transporting, positioning, pulling, and securing heavy equipment, machines, and oversized loads.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 Certificate • N2 Certificate • Qualified with trade papers section 13 or 26D • Code 8 Drivers License •

At least 5 years Rigger experience with winder steel wire ropes

• Own Transport as position requires standby • Valid certificate of physical fitness • Ability to read and write in English • Be able to work shifts and call outs

ROLE OUTCOMES:

• Aligns, levels, and anchors machinery • Attaches loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools

• Attaches pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps • Controls movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain falls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment
