Duties
• The Chief Security Officer shall be responsible to the Vice- Chancellor for coordination of security in the University.

Qualifications

Candidate for the post must possess the following qualifications:
• Should be a retired Police Officer not below the rank of Superintendent of Police or its equivalent in the Nigerian Army, Navy or State Security Service.
• Degree in Law LLB or B.Sc. Sociology or other related disciplines with NYSC/exemption certificate will be an added advantage.
• The candidate should be a member of a relevant chartered professional body.
• The candidate should have a proven record of integrity, discipline and must be physically fit.
• Experience in security management in a tertiary institution is an added advantage.

Duration of Appointment
• The appointment shall be a two 2 year contract appointment and may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance.
