Role Description

This is a contract on-site Safety Officer role located in Secunda. The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety audits, inspections, and investigations, identifying and assessing risks, and developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies. The Safety Officer will also train staff on safety procedures and documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant safety laws and regulations.

Qualifications
• Proven work experience as a Safety Officer or a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards
• Experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and investigations
• Demonstrated ability to identify and assess risks, and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Excellent knowledge of relevant safety laws and regulations, and experience in applying them in the workplace
